An EastEnders legend returns to Albert Square in this thrilling set of spoiler photos. And no - we don't mean Wellard the Alsatian. Yes, it's Walford matriarch Peggy Mitchell! She's back to give her son Phil a piece of her mind... and a kiss on the forehead. Well, he is poorly after all.

Although upset at seeing Phil in hospital, Peggy tells him that he needs to get a grip and pull himself together.

 He can't go soft now, his family needs him; cousin Ronnie has just been released from prison, Roxy's relationship is on the rocks and Carl White's been walking round like he owns Albert Square while Phil's been out of action.

Although reluctant to listen at first, just as Peggy is leaving he calls her back and tells her that he's missed her. Awwww!

Elsewhere in Walford, Max is still insisting he was to blame for the crash that landed Phil in hospital.

 Carl White has told Max that unless he 'confesses', he'll hurt Lauren. Will the Brannings work out who's really pulling the strings?

While Max is out of the picture, Sadie tells Lauren she no longer has a job at the salon. With her new, sober life crumbling around her, Lauren turns to a male friend for comfort... and for once, it isn't Joey!
